1. Bollard-Mounted Speed Check Sign

The LED display attached to a water-base bollard for easier setup and transport than other units. These units are lightweight, low maintenance, and only needs two people to setup and move around.

Functions of the Bollard-Mounted Speed Check Sign:

  • The Sensor: The main feature of the sign, the radar technology to calculate the oncoming vehicle speed.
  • The Sign: The LED signage that used to display the message to the passing vehicle, whether a ‘smiley’ face, vehicle’s speed, or the legal speed limit.
  • Display: Messages are bright and clear, so can be seen easily by drivers.
  • Power: Long battery life, managing to stay awake for up to 12 hours before having a snooze and needing a recharge.
  • Data Recording: Can be a record of up to 10,000 vehicles and let you know how many were speeding. Useful for research, enforcement, and other purposes.
  • Bollards: The main new feature than other LDC’s speed check signs, is the sign being mounted on a bollard (read below for more information)

The bollard units are stackable, so several units can be transported to a site if needed. There is a fast fill water system, there is an input located at the top of the bollard when you fill it up, and an output located at the bottom so water can pour out leaving the bollard complete empty and lighter to carry around. Though, forklift slots are part of the design, so a forklift can be used to transport the unit when full.
